History of EFT
The ESTACA Formula Team was launched in 2010 on the initiative of two students passionate about the world of motorsport. First known as ESTACA Eco Racing, then renamed ESTACA Formula Team, the EFT quickly experienced its first wave of success. Noted as one of the only French teams in the design of a competitive single-seater for students, EFT attracts and inspires the curious and passionate about motorsport.
The EFT project does not exist by chance. It is part of a student association, independent of the course. Hosted in the premises of the ESTACA engineering school, the students imagine and design thanks to their knowledge but also thanks to that of the EFT alumni today propelled to big names in motorsport.
For each of its projects, the interest is to acquire, in parallel with the ESTACA training, multiple knowledge and skills in the automotive field and essential for the future profession of engineer.
Objectives of the project
The EFT does not design cars for fun, but rather to challenge its competitors, teams of students from all over the world, ready to prove that their single-seater is the best in the Formula Student championships.
This competition is organized during the summer in dozens of countries around the world. The goal of each student team is to design and build a racing single-seater as high-performance as possible while respecting very detailed regulations.
